Crestview Montessori School
Welcome to Crestview Montessori School!
We are located on the border of Upper NW DC and MD on Western Avenue between River Road and Massachusetts Avenue.
We offer an authentic Montessori education for preschool and kindergarten children within a mixed-age classroom. Our school features a small class with a capacity of 20 children, allowing us to provide individual attention to each child and their family. We are proud to have a very diverse community, with children and families from approximately 16 countries worldwide.
The curriculum focuses on helping to nurture the development of the whole child, while our small school size allows for individualized and caring attention. As Dr. Montessori once said, "The environment must be rich in motives which lend interest to activity and invite the child to conduct ones own experiences."

Our Montessori program is designed to help children develop their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills. We believe our beautifully-appointed Montessori primary preschool gives young children a wonderful first school experience. Multi-Aged Classroom
In the Montessori classroom, children have the opportunity to take on several roles throughout their years with us. As a child grows from being the youngest to the middle and then to the oldest, they represent a distinctive and multifaceted part of the classroom dynamic. Children learn from one another while they work, play, eat, rest, and interact with each other.
